October 16 is National Bosses Day, so designated in the 1960s after a plucky employee wanted an official occasion to honor her boss, who also happened to be her dad. Cut to today, when we’re called upon to acknowledge the efforts of our guides and mentors, those leaders who spend their workday keeping the team on task and together. Offering this pivotal person in our lives a little something special does a lot to create good work karma.
