There are few things more American than the Fourth of July, and if they are more American, we probably include them in our Independence Day celebrations. It’s a day devoted to classic American pastimes like grilling out on the lake or tossing the football around in the backyard. Even our fare is deeply traditional, the menu sure to include such delights as hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, cole slaw and cherry pie. We’re with friends and family, feeling the relaxed vibes of summer, anticipating the fireworks display that will cap off the long, easy afternoon. Kittelberger Florist loves all of the tradition—and the majesty—of Independence Day. But we also think the flowers we use to decorate our homes (or to give to our hostess) can be a little more independent themselves.
Who says your Fourth of July flowers have to be red, white and blue? If you find yourself gravitating toward floral decor in the classic color scheme, you’ll be right on theme. But there are plenty of summer flower designs in bright hues of orange and yellow that generate sparks, too. Our Cosmic Blooms is a great example of the latter, with its punchy hues, manifold textures and floral elements that expand outward, mimicking fireworks. Even that burst of hydrangea at the bottom looks like it’s ready for a moment in the sky.
Offer an exciting, unexpected flower design this year at the center of your Fourth of July table. It’s the perfect prelude to an evening of fireworks.
